Reality Check

I sometimes struggle with feelings of guilt and shame, past hurts rear their ugly heads and cause great distress. When I allow myself dwell on these things, they can take over and my judgement gets clouded. When this happens I need to do a reality check. Who am I? Really? Well, Gods word puts it quite plainly for me and for all who have accepted Christ in (Romans 8: 1-2 ) 1"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.") I've been set free. When we accept Christ the Word says: "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV) That means our old self, the one that is filled with fear, shame and guilt is gone and in its place is a new person, this new creation is one filled with the presence of Christ and desire to Live for Him. Gods Love

Q. How can we know God loves us? A. God is Love! God has shown His love for us over and over again. He created us in His likesness and image, He has knit us together in our mothers womb. He has a plan for our lives, thought out and destined for each of us before we were even born. His thoughts of us out number all the grains of sand on the beach ( imagine that!) He said He would never leave or forsake us. He has given each of us gifts. He protects, shelters, shields, and redeems. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres...Love never fails. If this describes love, and God is love, then this is a description of our God. Earlier in the Chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 it says that we can do many great things with our lives, but without love we have no

All are welcome here...

Hi All...I wanted to start this blog as a place of support for anyone struggling with the pressures of life. Big or small it doesn't matter...I have received great advice and support through sharing via these blogs and decided to start my own. I invite you to share your thoughts, comments or questions. God's word tells us we should help carry eachothers burdens, encourage one another and serve for the purpose of building each other up and to praise God and Glorify His name. I want this place to be a service to all who come. All questions and comments will be answered or responded to with honesty and integrity and with the truth of God's word. I have had had much life experience and have a great compassion for those in need. I would not be where I am today physically, mentally, or spiritually had it not been for God placing certain people in my life who were wonderfully grounded in their faith in Jesus Christ. I hope this will be a place of caring, sharing and help for all w
