Gods Love
Q. How can we know God loves us?
A. God is Love! God has shown His love for us over and over again. He created us in His likesness and image, He has knit us together in our mothers womb. He has a plan for our lives, thought out and destined for each of us before we were even born. His thoughts of us out number all the grains of sand on the beach ( imagine that!) He said He would never leave or forsake us. He has given each of us gifts. He protects, shelters, shields, and redeems. Love is described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 as being patient, kind, doesn't envy, doesn't boast, not proud, not rude, not self seeking, slow to anger, forgiving, does not delight in eveil but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres...Love never fails. If this describes love, and God is love, then this is a description of our God. Earlier in the Chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 it says that we can do many great things with our lives, but without love we have nothing. Since God is the essence of Love, we can know without a doubt that he loves us, His children. There is so much more to say about God's love, but I think this is a good place to start...
