Cardinal Calling

Graced by his presence this regal bird looks on

Perched atop the wire, stretched across my lawn.

Chirping periodically, in his sweet singular note.

Letting me know he's watching in his red feathered coat.

Thank You God for the detail, and creative fashioning

Of every living creature, that upon this earth You bring.

May we just enjoy the beauty and revel in the prize
